Scrape webpages for names and emails straight into your Google Spreadsheet for Mail Merge.
Here's the process:
1. *Set up a Google Spreadsheet with a Mail Merge template.
2. *Copy the "Anyone with the link can edit" URL.
3. Go to a directory webpage with emails listed.
4. Click open the Email Scraper extension.
5. Paste the URL into the "Google Spreadsheet URL" box.
6. Start scraping.
Repeat steps 3 - 6.
This process takes the effort out of collecting email addresses for targeted mass marketing purposes. Simply open up a webpage with a directory of people, click start, and watch as your spreadsheet fills up with names and emails.
Email Scraper does not require any specific Mail Merge add-on in Google Spreadsheet in order to operate, however, your spreadsheet will have to abide by the schema below for the first three columns in order for the data to be inserted in the correct order.
*The only strict requirements are to have a shared link that has access to edit and properly named columns:
1A: First Name | 1B: Last Name | 1C: Email Address
*Access to edit: Check to make sure that the Google Spreadsheet URL you paste ends with "edit?usp=sharing"
