Instrucciones de Uso de la Extensión
View related information to each provision of the Singapore Securities and Futures Act (SFA) and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) as you conduct legal research on these two pieces of legislation.
The SideKick extension improves the efficiency of your legal research by displaying relevant information to the provisions in SFA and PDPA as you browse the legislations on the Singapore Statutes Online website.
The relevant information for SFA includes:
- Subsidiary legislations that states exemptions and explanations of the SFA provisions
- MAS materials such as notices, forms, codes, consultations, guidelines and other materials
The relevant information for PDPA includes:
- Subsidiary legislations that states exemptions and explanations of the PDPA provisions
- Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) materials such as consultations, guidelines, FAQs, enforcement decisions and other materials
HOW IT WORKS
Once the extension is installed, a green tab containing a number at the top right hand corner of the Singapore Statutes Online (SSO) website will be added. The number on the green tab signifies the number of relevant resources detected in relation to the provision of the SFA or PDPA which you are browsing.
Upon clicking on the green tab, a window will open at the side of the SSO website to display the relevant information. The relevant information is presented in two separate sub-tabs, one for subsidiary legislations and another for materials issued by the relevant authorities. If you have minimised the tab, clicking on the green tab again will bring up the relevant information for the SFA or PDPA provision which you are currently reading.
Clicking on any of the related resources will bring you directly to the actual document in its native site.
*Please note that the extension currently only works on the SFA and the PDPA, when viewed on the SSO website. We are looking to expand the capabilities of the extension to cover other legislations in future.
