A tetromino is a geometric shape composed of four squares, connected orthogonally (i.e. at the edges and not the corners). A popular use of tetrominoes is in the video game Tetris, which refers to them

Tetris is a very simple game, but it appeals to many players because it's both visually and intellectually challenging.
The goal of the game is to prevent the blocks from stacking up to the top of the screen for as long as possible.

Tetris requires players to arrange blocks of various shapes that "fall" from the top of the screen in a way so that they fit together efficiently at the bottom of the screen. Points are scored for every "line" that is completed, with the blocks falling at a higher rate of speed as the game progresses.

For many, it was the first video game they played, and that's how their love for gaming started. Even after moving on to more advanced and challenging productions, Tetris will always be the one to make you feel nostalgic.

Using pure mathematics, it has been proven that Tetris can never be beaten. Over the years, many players have tried to beat the game, but none have come out victorious.
