Safer Surfer gives surfers of the internet a gnarly and radical experience while safely riding the waves of the world wide web. Safer Surfer allows users the complete freedom to explore any webpage with the safety of all profanity to be censored to a cleaner, less emotionally scarring version. Unlike many traditional web censoring services that block out certain sites, Safer Surfer provides more protection by modifying the text on the webpage instead of attempting to block content that is sometimes missed by the traditional web censoring services. Safer Surfer currently has around 350 triggering and profane phrases which it substitutes with kinder, cleaner, and more politically correct phrases. Safer Surfer is also able to add words to its "naughty list" with user replaced words, ever expanding its library and making it ideal for educational purposes or for more sensitive environments. Safer Surfer also includes a feature which rates how clean the website is by counting the number of buzzwords on the site. This feature can be a great tool for educators for providing guidance to what websites are safe to use as sources for school projects for students. 扩展基本信息
